Clifford Perkins Jr. Maintains Drug-Involved Premises, Muskogee OK,…

Muskogee, Oklahoma – In a relentless pursuit of justice, federal prosecutors have sentenced Clifford Perkins Jr., 43, of Vian, to 51 months in prison for maintaining drug-involved premises. The sentencing, handed down by the Honorable James H. Payne of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma in Muskogee, marks a significant victory in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking.

Perkins was indicted in August 2013 following an extensive investigation led by the Sallisaw Police Department, the District 27 Drug Task Force, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. His guilty plea in March 2013 solidified his fate as a man who had deliberately maintained a house at 307 Dennis Street in Vian for the distribution, manufacturing, and use of methamphetamine.

The judge’s ruling comes after a tumultuous period that began on or about August 1, 2012. Perkins will serve his nonparolable sentence under the watchful eye of the United States Marshal Service until he is transported to a federal prison. Assistant United States Attorney Dean Burris represented the interests of the United States in this case.

Perkins’ conviction sends a clear message that drug-related activities will not be tolerated in Muskogee and beyond. The sentence reflects the severity of the charges against him and the determination of law enforcement agencies to protect the community from the dangers of drug abuse and distribution.

The successful prosecution of Perkins is a testament to the collaborative efforts of local, state, and federal agencies working together to dismantle drug operations that threaten public safety. As the sentence takes effect, it serves as a stark reminder of the consequences faced by those who engage in illegal drug activities.
