Victor Gonzalez, a 41-year-old man from Millwood, New York, was sentenced to 235 months in federal prison for the sex trafficking of minors and producing child pornography. The sentence, handed down yesterday in White Plains federal court by U.S. District Judge Cathy Seibel, marks the end of a years-long investigation into Gonzalez’s predatory exploitation of three teenage girls.
Gonzalez pleaded guilty on January 24, 2019, to charges stemming from a criminal operation that ran from approximately 2014 to June 2018. During that time, he targeted and groomed underage girls—Victim-1, around 14 or 15; Victim-2, 15 or 16; and Victim-3, age 17—luring them with false promises and emotional manipulation before forcing them into commercial sex acts for his financial gain.
Court documents reveal Gonzalez used online platforms and his cellphone to post ads for prostitution services featuring the minors. He arranged meetings with adult male clients across New York and Connecticut, transporting the victims himself and taking a cut of the proceeds. He also subjected the girls to repeated sexual abuse, including filming explicit material. In January 2016, he produced a video showing himself engaging in sexual activity with Victim-1—a recording that became key evidence in the case.
“Victor Gonzalez admitted to the reprehensible crimes of trafficking underage girls for his commercial benefit and producing child pornography of one of his victims,” said Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman. “He will now serve over 19 years in prison, where he will not be able to harm any more children.”
FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge William F. Sweeney Jr., emphasized the broader fight against exploitation: “It is our responsibility as a community to protect the vulnerable, and stop people like Mr. Gonzalez from ever harming girls again. But law enforcement cannot do this alone.” He urged the public to report suspected abuse, directing tips to the FBI at 212-384-1000.
In addition to his 19½-year sentence, Gonzalez was ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release and will pay restitution, the amount to be determined by the court at a later date. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jacqueline Kelly and Christopher Brumwell of the White Plains Division, with investigative support from the FBI’s Westchester County Safe Streets Task Force, Greenburgh and New Castle Police Departments, and assistance from the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and White Plains Police.
