Armed Bank Robbery Strikes Fear in Fremont Community

On November 15, 2017, a brazen armed bank robbery shook the Fremont community when Warren Dwayne Vasser, 45, and two accomplices, Warren Copeland and Angelo Douglas, entered the First State Bank located at 1005 East 23rd St. in Fremont, Nebraska, and made off with a substantial sum of money.

The thieves, all armed and possessing firearms, took $84,135 in bank funds before embarking on a high-speed chase into Omaha, where they were eventually apprehended by law enforcement. In a shocking turn of events, all but $20 of the stolen funds were recovered.
