SCRANTON – Warren Williams, a 25-year-old East Stroudsburg man, was sentenced to 46 months’ imprisonment for drug trafficking.
According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, Williams distributed over 100 grams of heroin (approximately 4,000 individual doses) over a five-month period starting in January 2016, in Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Stroud Area Regional Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean A. Camoni prosecuted the case.
This case was brought as part of a district-wide initiative to combat the nationwide epidemic regarding the use and distribution of heroin. Led by the United States Attorney’s Office, the Heroin Initiative targets heroin traffickers operating in the Middle District of Pennsylvania and is part of a coordinated effort among federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who commit heroin-related offenses.
This case is also part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
The Heroin Initiative and Project Safe Neighborhoods aim to reduce the devastating impact of heroin trafficking on communities across the country.
Warren Williams’ criminal charges include drug trafficking. He was sentenced on April 11, 2019, in United States District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania.
