Lincoln Man Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine

A Lincoln man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine. William Nathan Chandler, 39, of Lincoln, was sentenced on August 28, 2015.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the conspiracy took place between January 1, 2012, and April 4, 2014. During this time, Chandler is believed to have distributed at least 500 grams (approximately 18 ounces) of methamphetamine.

A search warrant was executed at Chandler’s residence in April 2014. During the search, officers found slightly less than ¼ ounce of methamphetamine. Chandler waived his rights and admitted that he had sold approximately ½ ounce of methamphetamine on that day prior to the officers’ arrival.

Chandler stated that he had been using and selling methamphetamine for about six years and estimated he had sold a total of a pound in the year prior to the search. He will serve five years on supervised release following his prison term.

The Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force investigated the case.
