Ohio Attorney General’s Office Announces Charges Against 16 Medicaid Providers
On April 2023, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office announced that 16 Medicaid providers are facing charges of Medicaid fraud and theft.
The defendants, who operate in various locations across Ohio, are accused of submitting false claims to the Medicaid program and embezzling funds intended for patients.
The charges include Medicaid Fraud, Theft in Office, and Tampering with Records. The investigation was conducted by the Ohio Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, in collaboration with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Ohio Department of Medicaid.
