Jesus Bracero, Methamphetamine Fentanyl Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2023

SCRANTON, Pa. – The grim halls of justice have once again echoed with the sound of justice served as Jesus Bracero, 29, of Bowmanstown, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to serve a staggering 121 months and 18 days in federal prison for his role in a massive drug trafficking operation.

United States District Judge Julie K. Munley meted out the sentence on August 8, 2025, following Bracero’s conviction on charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine and over 40 grams of fentanyl.

The DEA has outlined a sordid tale of drug distribution that spanned from January 2023 to September 2023 in Carbon and Lehigh Counties. During this period, Bracero and his accomplices were said to have peddled large quantities of these deadly substances.

Investigators’ relentless pursuit led to multiple covert buys of meth at Bracero’s residence. The feds executed a search warrant in July 2023, uncovering a veritable drug den within the walls of his abode. Seized were the usual suspects: controlled substances, firearms, ammunition, explosives, drug transaction records, and packaging material. The scene was guarded by high-tech surveillance cameras and two guard dogs, a testament to the danger posed by this operation.

This gritty case has been diligently pursued by Homeland Security Investigations and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenny P. Roberts was at the helm in prosecuting Bracero.

Bracero’s sentence is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence, ensuring our neighborhoods are safer for all. Launched on May 26, 2021, PSN has strengthened its focus on fostering community trust, supporting local organizations, setting enforcement priorities, and measuring outcomes.
