GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: A Perrysburg, Ohio man has been hit with four counts of child pornography, according to Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.
The alleged offender, Andrew B. Palm, 34, is accused of engaging in the heinous acts between October 2012 and April 2013. The charges level against Palm include production, advertising, receipt, and possession of child pornography.
Should Palm be convicted, his sentence will be determined by the Court after reviewing all unique aspects of this case, including any prior criminal record. However, it’s important to note that in every case, sentences are capped at the statutory maximum, with most cases seeing sentences less than the maximum allowed.
The investigation into Palm’s alleged crimes was led by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations in Cleveland, Ohio. Assistant United States Attorney Alissa M. Sterling is handling the case for the prosecution.
As always, an indictment is merely a charge and does not equate to guilt. The defendant, Palm, is entitled to a fair trial where the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
This disturbing case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing battle against child pornography and exploitation in our communities. Stay tuned for more updates on The Grimy Times.
