Philip Vincent, Crack Cocaine Trafficking, New York 2023

Buffalo, N.Y. – The grimy streets of Niagara Falls are once again witness to the heavy hand of justice as Philip Vincent, a 38-year-old resident, has been sentenced to 60 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of a weapon in furtherance of drug trafficking.

Acting U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr., made the announcement, with Chief U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr., handing down the sentence. Vincent’s fall from grace began when he was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Violent Felony Fugitive Task Force on December 2, 2014.

On that fateful day, officers were searching for a fugitive when they stumbled upon Vincent at his residence in Niagara Falls. The search of his 20th Street home yielded more than just the fugitive; it also revealed a .38 caliber revolver and marijuana plants, as well as crack cocaine, all indicative of a much larger scheme.

The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Niagara Falls Police Department, all under their respective leaders. Special Agent-in-Charge Ashan Benedict directed the New York Field Division of ATF, Marshal Charles Salina oversaw the U.S. Marshals Service’s efforts, and Superintendent Bryan DalPorto led the Niagara Falls Police Department in this joint effort to take down a drug dealer.

This sentencing is not only a victory for law enforcement but also a stark reminder of the consequences facing those who engage in drug trafficking and weapon possession. Vincent will now serve his sentence, with hopes that his imprisonment deters others from similar criminal activity.
