Buffalo, N.Y. — The U.S. Attorney’s Office has announced that James R. Duncan, 52, from Lackawanna, NY, has been sentenced to a staggering 165 months in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy.
The sentence was handed down by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr., following Duncan’s conviction. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brendan T. Cullinane led the prosecution in this case.
Lackawanna Police executed a search warrant at Duncan’s residence on Roland Avenue, where they uncovered a trove of illegal drugs and cash. The seizure included methamphetamine, cocaine, hydrocodone, and nearly $53,000 in U.S. currency.
Co-defendant Susan Dietrich has also been convicted in the matter. This sentence is the culmination of an investigation by Lackawanna Police Department, directed by Chief James Michel, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), led by Special Agent-in-Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division.
James R. Duncan’s sentence sends a stark message about the federal government’s commitment to cracking down on drug trafficking in the region. His conviction serves as a reminder of the serious consequences faced by those who engage in such criminal activities.
