Feds Nab Avilla Man for Vehicle ID Scandal

Fort Wayne, IN – In a stunning case of motor vehicle deception, 43-year-old Adam N. Bock of Avilla, Indiana, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for tampering with vehicle identification numbers (VINs).

According to court documents, Bock and an accomplice stole 25 travel trailers from businesses in Indiana and Michigan between 2017 and 2018. They then replaced the VIN numbers and rebranded the trailers in Bock’s company name before selling them to innocent third-party buyers.
