A South Bend man has pleaded guilty to manufacturing marijuana, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.
Adrian Williams, 41, of La Porte, Indiana, pled guilty to the felony offense of manufacturing marijuana. The magistrate judge is recommending that the district court accept the tendered guilty plea.
Parties have 14 days in which to object to the magistrate judge’s recommendation. This charge was filed as a result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Sentencing has been set for January 8, 2015. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.
Williams faces up to 5 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 if convicted.
Meanwhile, a Logansport man was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment with 2 years supervised release for his role in a cocaine distribution conspiracy.
Oscar Martinez, 35, of Logansport, Indiana, was sentenced after pleading guilty to the felony offense of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
