Akron Man Guilty of Child Porn Possession
BUFFALO, N.Y. – In a disturbing revelation, Michael A. Taschetta, a 55-year-old resident of Akron, N.Y., has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both.
According to court documents, Taschetta downloaded images of child pornography from the internet, some of which included graphic depictions of children under 12 years old engaged in sexual conduct. The defendant utilized a peer-to-peer software application to download the child pornography onto his computer.
The investigation into Taschetta’s activities was led by Special Agents of the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of James C.
