Reynaldo Griego Sentenced to 10 Years for Methamphetamine Trafficki…

ALBUQUERQUE – A decade behind bars awaits Reynaldo Griego, 38, of Albuquerque, following his sentencing in federal court for methamphetamine trafficking. The sentence, handed down today, includes a 120-month prison term followed by four years of supervised release.

Griego’s criminal saga began on Feb. 28, 2014, when he was arrested along with co-defendant Danielle Lemos, 33. Both were charged with conspiracy and distribution of methamphetamine in Bernalillo County, N.M., in early 2014.

The indictment against Griego and Lemos was expanded in March 2014 to include Lori Salgado, 27, who faced additional meth distribution charges. The two new counts alleged they distributed meth on Feb. 11, 2014, and Salgado possessed meth with intent to distribute a month later.

Griego confessed to conspiracy charges in September 2014, admitting he conspired with Lemos to sell meth from January 30 through February 27, 2014. Lemos also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and was sentenced in March 2015 to 33 months in prison.

Salgado, who admitted her role in the ring, awaits sentencing scheduled for March 24, 2015. The investigation into this drug ring was spearheaded by the DEA’s Albuquerque office, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Shammara Henderson handling the prosecution.
