Notorious Fentanyl Trafficker Convicted in Norfolk, Nebraska
A Norfolk woman has been convicted of conspiring to distribute fentanyl that resulted in an overdose, federal officials announced.
Alexzandra Blanco, 24, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl resulting in serious bodily injury and conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl in a jury trial that concluded on February 12, 2025 in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska.
United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher presided over the trial. The jury also found that Blanco must forfeit $4,200.00 in United States currency and a 2019 Dodge Ram truck to the United States as drug proceeds.
Blanco faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison for the serious bodily injury charge and a mandatory minimum of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison for the drug conspiracy charge.
The charges against Blanco stem from an investigation that revealed she was involved in providing fentanyl to a victim who overdosed on March 17, 2023, but was revived by Narcan. Additionally, law enforcement purchased M-30 fentanyl pills from her boyfriend, co-defendant Tremain Monroe, on three separate occasions in April 2023.
On May 3, 2023, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Monroe and Blanco’s residence and seized 221 fentanyl pills, drug paraphernalia, and more than 5 pounds of methamphetamine.
Co-defendant Tremain Monroe pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and was sentenced to 210 months in prison.
Blanco will be sentenced on May 14, 2025 before Judge Buescher in Omaha.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
