Israel Garcia-Garcia, a 49-year-old Mexican national, has been sentenced to 54 months in federal prison for unlawfully reentering the United States for the eighth time. Garcia-Garcia, who pleaded guilty on March 20, 2026, has a history of reentering the country, with seven prior removals since 2008. He was most recently discovered in Houston on December 25, 2025, with no authorization to be in the country.
Garcia-Garcia’s criminal history includes prior convictions for illegal reentry and transporting illegal aliens. His repeated attempts to reenter the country have resulted in a significant prison sentence, with U.S. District Judge Ewing Werlein ordering him to serve 54 months in federal prison.
