Amber Ramos, Methamphetamine Distribution, West Virginia 2021

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – A Harrison County woman was sentenced to 37 months of incarceration for her role in a methamphetamine distribution case, announced Acting United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard.

Amber Ramos, 33, also known as “Amber Finch,” pleaded guilty in April 2021 to one count of “Distribution of Methamphetamine.” The crime occurred in July 2018 in Harrison County.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew R. Cogar prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Greater Harrison Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives investigated the case.

Senior U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided over the sentencing hearing.

Ramos admitted to selling methamphetamine in Harrison County in July 2018. Her guilty plea was entered in April 2021.

The case was investigated by the Greater Harrison Drug Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, with funding from the High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program.

As a result of her actions, Ramos faces 37 months of incarceration. Her sentence reflects the severity of the crime and the need to hold individuals accountable for their roles in the distribution of methamphetamine.

Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard emphasized the importance of the work done by law enforcement agencies in investigating and prosecuting cases involving the distribution of methamphetamine in West Virginia.
