Columbus Man Charged with Fentanyl Trafficking
A Columbus man has been indicted on drug trafficking charges involving fentanyl and methamphetamine. Andre Little, 33, of Columbus, Ohio, faces four counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine.
According to the indictment, on or about March 11, 2019, Little knowingly and intentionally distributed fentanyl. On April 5, 2019, he allegedly distributed fentanyl again. The indictment also alleges that on April 11, 2019, Little knowingly and intentionally possessed with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The investigation preceding the indictment was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney David M. Toepfer.
An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
Little’s sentence will be determined by the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including his prior criminal record, if any, his role in the offenses, and the characteristics of the violations. If convicted, his sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum and in most cases will be less than the maximum.
Andre Little is a 33-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio. The exact dates of the alleged crimes are March 11, 2019, and April 5, 2019, with a third alleged incident on April 11, 2019. The case is ongoing.
Andre Little’s charges include distribution of fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl. He faces a potential prison sentence and a fine, but the final outcome has not been determined.
