Unlawful Possession of Firearm Lands Morgantown Man in Hot Water

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – In a shocking turn of events, Andrew Douglas Packard, a 30-year-old resident of Morgantown, West Virginia, has admitted to a firearms charge in federal court.

According to the facts of the case, Packard, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was found to be in possession of a 9mm Glock pistol, a multi-caliber pistol, a 12-gauge shotgun, a 410-gauge shotgun, and a rifle in April 2018 in Monongalia County.

The defendant faces up to 10 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $250,000. The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
