Benton Man Charged With Distribution of Methamphetamine

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Anthony Devine, age 35, of Benton, Pennsylvania, was indicted on July 24, 2025, by a federal grand jury on two charges of distribution of methamphetamine.

According to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, the indictment charges Devine with distributing more than five grams of methamphetamine on or about May 30, 2024, in Columbia County, and more than 50 grams of methamphetamine on or about June 5, 2024.

This case was investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the government to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.

The maximum penalty under federal law for each offense is life imprisonment, a fine, and a period of supervised release following imprisonment. A sentence following a finding of guilt is imposed by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

Indictments are only allegations. All persons charged by indictment are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.

Devine is currently facing charges of distribution of methamphetamine and will have to face the consequences of his actions in court. The case is ongoing, and further developments will be reported as they become available.
