A St. Francis, South Dakota man is behind bars after breaking into a home and attempting to steal a firearm.
Antonio Molina, 35, was sentenced to one year and five months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
The conviction arose from an incident in St. Francis, within the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation, where Molina broke into an individual’s home and attempted to steal various items, including a firearm.
Molina was apprehended by law enforcement as he was leaving the scene of the burglary.
This case was investigated by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan Dilges prosecuted the case.
Molina was immediately remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
