Cincinnati Men Charged with Murder & Conspiracy
CINCINNATI, OH – In a shocking turn of events, a grand jury in Cincinnati has indicted three men for their alleged involvement in two brutal murders that shook the city during the summer of 2021.
The victims, Kamar Williams and Deonte Nuckols, were robbed and murdered in separate incidents in North College Hill and St. Bernard, respectively. Antwan Coach, Jr., 20, of Cincinnati, and Markel Hardy, 21, of Cincinnati, are accused of robbing Williams of marijuana and a firearm before shooting him to death on July 5, 2021, in North College Hill.
The indictment alleges that Coach and Hardy conspired to kill Williams, a crime that carries a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 20 years and up to life in prison. Additionally, the pair is accused of murdering Nuckols on August 1, 2021, in St. Bernard, in connection with 400 grams or more of fentanyl.
Jamal Binford, 33, of Dallas and Cincinnati, is charged with unlawfully assisting Hardy after the July murder. Binford was arrested today at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and appeared in federal court in the Northern District of Texas.
Assistant United States Attorneys Ashley N. Brucato and Frederic C. Shadley are representing the United States in this case. The investigation was aided by the Justice Department’s Office of International Affairs of the Department’s Criminal Division, as well as local law enforcement agencies.
An indictment merely contains allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
If convicted, each of the defendants faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 20 years and up to life in prison.
