A fugitive with a warrant out for his murder arrest shot at federal officers in a Springfield, Ohio hotel room standoff, leaving everyone shaken but no one hurt. Andre Jordan II, 35, of Reynoldsburg, was a wanted man with a penchant for violence.
On August 14th, 2025, Jordan refused to come out of the Quality Inn room where he was holed up. Law enforcement from SOFAST, a federal task force, had tracked him to the hotel, and after announcing their presence, he fired multiple shots through the window and hotel door at the officers who retreated to take cover.
Hotel surveillance footage shows Jordan firing at least eight rounds through the connecting doors to the adjacent room, where officers had been positioned in the hallway just moments before. The standoff ended with Jordan surrendering to hostage negotiators, who had established communication with him.
Jordan’s plea deal includes a recommendation for a 25-year prison sentence for his attempted murder charges. At the time of the standoff, he was a fugitive with an active arrest warrant for aggravated murder out of Franklin County.
