Quentin Hall, Armed Drug Distribution, Georgia 2024

⏱ 2 min read

Quentin Hall, a 30-year-old South Georgia resident with a history of drug distribution, was involved in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse with law enforcement on November 26, 2024, in Moultrie, Georgia. Hall was pulled over for a traffic violation but refused to stop, instead choosing to flee the scene with a bookbag in hand. As he ran, he discarded the bookbag and pulled out a handgun, pointing it at a Moultrie Police Department officer. Hall’s desperate attempt to escape ultimately ended in his capture and subsequent sentencing to 12 years in prison for armed drug distribution.

Hall’s sentencing was the result of a guilty plea to one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and one count of possession of a firearm in the furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The sentence, handed down by Senior U.S. District Judge W. Louis Sands on July 8, includes 204 months in prison followed by six years of supervised release. With no parole available in the federal system, Hall will serve his full sentence.

The case against Hall was built on the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies, including the ATF. U.S. Attorney William R. “Will” Keyes emphasized the importance of holding repeat offenders accountable for their actions, stating that those who continue to endanger others and break the law will face lengthy prison sentences without parole.

ATF Atlanta’s Resident Agent in Charge Robert Davis also highlighted the critical need for cooperation among law enforcement agencies to safeguard communities and bring career criminals to justice. The successful prosecution of Hall serves as a testament to the efficacy of these collaborative efforts.
