Erickson Clay Ward, Methamphetamine Distribution, Oklahoma 2018

A 57-year-old man from Eufaula, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 157 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution ring.

Erickson Clay Ward was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.

According to court documents, Ward was in possession of a Cobra Enterprises, Inc. / Kodiak Ind., Model FS380, 380 caliber pistol, serial number FS049344, which he used in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The charges against Ward were the result of an investigation by the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

U.S. Attorney Brian J. Kuester praised the interagency cooperation that led to Ward’s conviction, saying that it is a key factor in achieving public safety.

The Honorable Ronald A. White, U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing, and First Assistant United States Attorney Christopher Wilson represented the United States in the case.

Ward will remain in custody pending transportation to the designated federal facility at which he will serve his sentence.
