Rayshon Hall, 24, and Najari Denarka Mitchell, 21, went on a four-day armed robbery spree in Montgomery, Alabama, targeting three businesses and leaving a trail of fear in their wake. The crime wave began on August 1, 2025, when the duo robbed a fast-food restaurant on Troy Highway, threatening an employee with a firearm. Over the next few days, they hit an auto parts store on Fairview Avenue and a gas station on Troy Highway, always using a gun to get what they wanted.
Hall’s luck ran out on May 20, 2026, when a jury convicted him of three counts of robbery and three counts of brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a federal crime of violence. The verdict was the result of a three-day trial, and Hall now faces a sentence of 21 years to life in federal prison without the possibility of parole.
Mitchell had already pleaded guilty to his role in the three robberies and one attempted robbery involving Hall. He also copped to four other armed robberies he committed in Montgomery before teaming up with Hall. The FBI Mobile field office worked with local law enforcement to investigate and bring the pair to justice.
The conviction sends a clear message that armed robbery will not be tolerated in Montgomery. As Acting United States Attorney Kevin Davidson put it, “Those who choose to terrorize businesses with violence and firearms will be held accountable in federal court.” The community can rest a little easier knowing that Hall and Mitchell are off the streets.
