Pocatello, Idaho – In a disturbing case of abuse, 21-year-old Austin Del Broncho-Timbana of Fort Hall, Idaho, was sentenced to 15 months in prison for abusive sexual contact with a minor.
According to the plea agreement, Broncho-Timbana admitted to having abusive sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl at a residence on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation on January 20, 2013.
A relative discovered the girl partially unclothed in a back bedroom, leading them to contact police after Broncho-Timbana fled through the bedroom window.
Broncho-Timbana was later apprehended at his home and charged with abusive sexual contact by information on January 17, 2014.
On February 27, 2014, he pleaded guilty to the charge, paving the way for his eventual sentencing.
The case was investigated by the Fort Hall Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Broncho-Timbana will serve 15 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, as per his sentencing.
This disturbing case serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting our most vulnerable members of society from heinous crimes such as these.
