Riverton Man Sentenced for Abusive Sexual Contact
A 52-year-old Riverton man has been sentenced to 70 months imprisonment for abusive sexual contact with a minor. Annin Damian Soldierwolf was handed down the sentence by Chief United States District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl on December 7, 2021.
Soldierwolf was accused of engaging in sexual contact with a minor who had not attained the age of 12 years. The charges alleged that Soldierwolf intentionally touched the minor’s breasts, buttocks and genitals, through the clothing, of the genitalia, anus, groin, breast, inner thigh, and buttocks, with an intent to abuse, humiliate, harass, and degrade the minor, to arouse and gratify his own sexual desire. The abuse occurred over the course of five years.
The investigation into the case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Assistant United States Attorney Kerry J. Jacobson prosecuted the case.
The charges against Soldierwolf were brought on a single count of abusive sexual contact. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on July 22, 2022, and pleaded guilty to the charge on September 15, 2021.
Soldierwolf was also ordered to pay a fine of $500 and a $100 special assessment as part of his sentence. He will be subject to 10 years of supervised release after serving his prison term.
