Richard Ross Valentine, a 35-year-old man from Martinsburg, West Virginia, has pleaded guilty to heroin distribution after a lengthy investigation by law enforcement.
According to court documents, Valentine admitted to possessing and distributing heroin in September 2017 in Berkeley County. The heroin distribution charge is a serious offense that carries significant penalties, including up to 20 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000.
Valentine’s guilty plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble, who presided over the case. The prosecution team, led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Omps-Botteicher and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Grant, worked tirelessly to bring Valentine to justice.
