Kimberly Dennis, Racketeering Conspiracy, Baltimore MD, 2023

Baltimore, Maryland – In a groundbreaking takedown, former correctional officers Kimberly Dennis, 27, and Antonia Allison, 29, have been locked up for their roles in a racketeering conspiracy that funneled drugs and contraband into Maryland jails for the notorious Black Guerilla Family (BGF) gang.

U.S. District Judge Ellen L. Hollander handed down sentences of 24 months in prison for Dennis, followed by two years of supervised release, while Allison was sentenced to 20 months. Both women were pivotal figures in a scheme that saw correctional officers on the payroll of BGF members, facilitating the illegal flow of cell phones, tobacco, and drugs.

According to court documents, Kimberly Dennis served as a Correctional Officer at Baltimore City Detention Center (BCDC) from 2006 to 2013. She formed personal relationships with two inmates of the BGF, and in exchange for favors, she smuggled contraband into BCDC. Antonia Allison similarly admitted her role in smuggling prescription pills and marijuana.

Thirty-four out of forty defendants charged in this racketeering conspiracy have been convicted, a testament to the extensive reach of this organized crime ring. Among those convicted were 24 correctional officers who either pleaded guilty or were found guilty at trial.

The investigation was led by the Maryland Prison Task Force, involving numerous agencies, including the FBI and Maryland State Police. U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the efforts of Assistant United States Attorneys Robert R. Harding and Ayn B. Ducao for their prosecution of this Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force case.

This sentence marks a significant victory in the fight against prison corruption and organized crime, ensuring that justice is served and the integrity of correctional facilities is preserved.
