Violent Home Invasion Robbery in Orange County, New York

Five individuals have been charged with perpetrating a gun-point home invasion robbery in Orange County, New York, leaving four children traumatized.

According to the complaint unsealed on January 15, 2025, Bhupinderjit Singh, 26, of South Ozone Park, New York, and his co-defendants, Elijaih Roman, 22, of Far Rockaway, New York, Corey Hall, 45, of Saint Albans, New York, Erik Suarez, 24, of Elmhurst, New York, and Divya Kumari, 26, of Massapequa, New York, allegedly planned and executed a violent robbery at the home of a small business owner on December 1, 2024.

The defendants, armed with a firearm, forced the homeowner and his daughter into the house at gunpoint, zip-tied the hands and legs of the victims, and demanded valuables while the children watched in horror. The robbers made off with numerous pieces of jewelry and approximately $10,000 in U.S. currency.

The FBI has apprehended the defendants, and they will be presented in White Plains federal court. If convicted, each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison for Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy and Hobbs Act robbery.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement in preventing and solving crimes.
