A 49-year-old Binghamton man was sentenced to 32 years in federal prison after being convicted of child pornography offenses. Roland Kyzer Jr. was found guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography while on supervised release for an earlier federal child pornography conviction.

The investigation revealed that Kyzer, a registered sex offender, continued to download and collect sexually explicit images of children from the internet while under supervision. In February 2018, he was tried in federal court in Binghamton and convicted by a jury.

Hon. Thomas J. McAvoy sentenced Kyzer to 27 years in prison for the new offenses of receipt and possession of child pornography. Upon release from prison, Kyzer will be under supervision for 20 years and will continue to be required to register as a sex offender.
