BUFFALO, N.Y. – Alexander Burton Blake, 26, of Cheektowaga, New York, is headed to federal prison after a damning trove of child pornography was discovered on his equipment. Blake was sentenced today to 40 months imprisonment, followed by a decade of supervised release, for his role in distributing and possessing horrific images and videos of abused children.
The sentence, handed down by Chief United States District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr., also includes a hefty $48,000 restitution order, meant to provide some measure of support to the victims exploited in the material found on Blake’s systems. Acting U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. made the announcement, signaling a continued federal crackdown on online exploitation.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who prosecuted the case, Blake wasn’t just a collector – he was an active distributor. He leveraged peer-to-peer networks to spread the illegal content, amplifying the harm to the children depicted. A raid on Blake’s residence uncovered the scale of his depravity: approximately 70,000 images and 650 videos of child pornography were seized from his computer equipment.
