New Orleans Man Guilty of Marijuana Trafficking, Machinegun Possession
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – Brandon Dunn, age 20, pleaded guilty on April 1, 2026 before U.S. District Judge Greg G. Guidry to conspiracy to distribute, and possession with intent to distribute, marijuana, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(D), and 846, and possession of a machinegun, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(o) and 924(a)(2).
Dunn’s guilty plea stems from an investigation into a large-scale marijuana trafficking operation in the New Orleans area. According to court documents, Dunn was a key player in the conspiracy, which involved the distribution of significant amounts of marijuana.
The investigation, led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), resulted in the seizure of a machinegun, which Dunn is accused of possessing. Dunn’s possession of the machinegun is a serious offense, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
