Brandon Farmer, a 21-year-old man from Philadelphia, Mississippi, has been sentenced to 108 months in prison for engaging in sexual contact with a minor under the age of 12.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Farmer pleaded guilty to the crime, which occurred on the tribal lands of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Choctaw Police Department.
Farmer’s sentence includes 108 months in prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release. He must also register as a sex offender.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Lemon prosecuted the case.
The crime was committed on July 31, 2014.
The FBI and Choctaw Police Department worked together to bring Farmer to justice.
