Aaron Grant Willis Sentenced to Prison for Sex with Minor
Aaron Grant Willis, a 25-year-old man from Heidelberg, Mississippi, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for engaging in sexual contact with a minor under the age of 12.
According to court documents, the crime took place on the tribal lands of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. Willis was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and register as a sex offender as part of his sentence.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Mississippi announced the sentencing, which was handed down by U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett on February 5, 2015.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Choctaw Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Lemon handled the prosecution.
Willis, a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, is now facing the consequences of his actions. The sentence is a reminder that crimes against children will not be taken lightly.
