TEXARKANA, AR – A Hot Springs man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison without the possibility of parole on one count of Transportation of Child Pornography.
Bronze Joshua Napier, 33, was found guilty of posting numerous images of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the social media platform Snapchat in early 2022.
According to court documents, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual in Hot Springs had posted CSAM on Snapchat.
Napier was subsequently identified as the user who posted the images, and the subsequent investigation determined that he had previously been convicted of Possessing or Viewing Child Pornography in Garland County.
Napier was indicted by a Grand Jury in the Western District of Arkansas in June 2022 and entered a plea of guilty in September 2022.
U.S. Attorney David Clay Fowlkes of the Western District of Arkansas made the announcement, stating that the case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections, and the Hot Springs Police Department participated in the investigation of the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Carly Marshall and Assistant U.S. Attorney Devon Still prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
