A recent federal court sentencing has seen Brandon Lee, a 35-year-old armed career criminal, facing years in prison on gun charges. Lee, a resident of Savannah, Alabama, was found carrying a gun in a local mall.
According to the Department of Justice, Lee was caught with a loaded firearm in a Savannah mall. This is not the first time Lee has been involved in a firearms-related incident. Lee’s lengthy rap sheet includes multiple convictions for violent crimes.
Lee’s sentencing hearing was held in federal court. Brandon Lee was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge W. Keith Watkins. Lee’s sentence also includes a 3-year term of supervised release and a $100 special assessment.
The charges against Lee include being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 922(g)(1). Lee was also charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 922(g)(8).
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan L. Gerstein of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Alabama.
