A hard-hitting investigation has led to the downfall of a notorious methamphetamine dealer in Havre, Montana. Brandon Wayne Glover, 31, was sentenced to 80 months’ imprisonment to be followed by five years of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris on April 24, 2014.
Glover’s guilty plea to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine was entered on January 9, 2014. This conviction stems from an investigation that revealed Glover’s involvement in distributing the highly addictive substance.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessica Betley, law enforcement in Havre began investigating Glover in early 2010, following a tip from a witness who claimed to have purchased 10 grams of methamphetamine directly from the defendant. In February 2011, agents made undercover drug purchases from Glover, which further solidified his involvement in the illicit trade.
The investigation revealed that Glover would often travel to Billings to pick up methamphetamine. On one occasion, an informant observed Glover with approximately 100 baggies, each containing one gram of methamphetamine, packaged for sale.
Multiple witnesses came forward, stating they regularly purchased half a gram to a gram of methamphetamine from Glover. Others claimed Glover recruited them to sell the substance for him. From 2010 to at least October 2011, Glover possessed with the intent to distribute, at a minimum, over 50 grams of a substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.
The investigation was conducted by the Havre Police Department and the Tri-Agency Task Force. Glover’s actions have had a significant impact on the community, and his sentence serves as a reminder of the consequences of engaging in illicit activities.
