Brendan Farver, 29, Sentenced to 24 Months in Prison for Fentanyl Trafficking
BUFFALO, N.Y. – In a shocking turn of events, Brendan Farver, a 29-year-old Jamestown man, has been sentenced to 24 months in prison for conspiring to possess with intent to distribute, and distributing, heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine.
According to sources, Farver was convicted of buying and selling heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine for profit and his own use, and brokered deals for other drug dealers in and around the Jamestown area. Farver utilized social media to conduct his drug trafficking activities.
On May 2020, the Conewango Township Police Department conducted undercover purchases of heroin from Farver on two different occasions. On July 31, 2020, Farver brought heroin/fentanyl to an associate identified as K.T. at the individual’s residence in Jamestown. The two then injected the heroin/fentanyl. The following morning, at approximately 11:27 a.m., the Jamestown Police Department responded to K.T.’s residence for a reported overdose, where officers discovered K.T., deceased.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department, under the direction of Chief Timothy Jackson, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Frank A. Tarentino III, New York Field Division.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, who handled the case, stated that Farver’s actions were a clear threat to the community and a danger to the public.
Farver’s sentence was handed down by Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny. This case serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences of fentanyl trafficking and the importance of community vigilance in reporting suspicious activity.
