A North Dakota man is among five individuals charged in a multi-million dollar cattle fraud case. Brock Johnson, 42, of Minot, North Dakota, was arrested on April 10, 2024 and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering.
The charges stem from an investigation into Agridime, a cattle company that allegedly sold cattle to buyers using fake documents and misrepresenting the quality and quantity of the animals.
According to court documents, Johnson and the other defendants used a complex scheme to deceive buyers and collect millions of dollars in payments for cattle that did not exist or were not of the quality promised.
The case is being investigated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Office of Inspector General and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with assistance from the North Dakota Bureau of Investigation.
