Second-Degree Murder Charges Bring Guilty Plea in Indian Country

In a shocking turn of events, Brodie Coonsis, a 28-year-old man from Zuni, New Mexico, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Indian Country.

According to court documents, Coonsis shot and killed a man at the victim’s residence in Zuni on February 26. The motive behind the crime was Coonsis’s use of drugs and a prior dispute with the victim.
