Fentanyl distribution has landed 24-year-old Christopher Burdine-Davies of Lafayette, Indiana, in federal prison for 70 months. The sentence was handed down by United States District Court Senior Judge James T. Moody after Burdine-Davies pleaded guilty to the crime.

The case against Burdine-Davies revealed that between September 26, 2022, and October 20, 2022, he sold fentanyl on six separate occasions. Burdine-Davies has a history of felony convictions, including possessing a controlled substance, criminal recklessness, and intimidation, making him ineligible to possess any firearm or ammunition.
Acting U.S. Attorney Proctor stated, “Illicit fentanyl is a deadly poison. Christopher Burdine-Davies chose to sell it anyway. Thanks to the efforts of the many partner agencies participating in the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Task Force, Mr. Burdine-Davies can no longer ply his trade in this District. I applaud their efforts, and the just outcome to which they led.”
