Burglar Sentenced for Timber Lake Heist

A brazen burglary at the Chatter Box Corner Café in Timber Lake has landed a local man behind bars. Jake Morrison, 31, was sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment for his role in the break-in.

According to court documents, Morrison and two co-defendants broke into the café on January 6, 2013, and stole several bottles of alcohol. The incident was investigated by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Division.
