CAMDEN, N.J. – Julian ‘Juelz’ Dickerson, 30, has admitted his role in a significant crack cocaine distribution conspiracy operating in the heart of Camden, according to Acting U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick.
Dickerson, known also as ‘Juelz,’ pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Jerome B. Simandle to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine base. He was supplied crack cocaine by members of the ring, which he sold to local customers and an undercover officer on several occasions.
The investigation led to the seizure of drugs and two handguns during a raid in connection with the drug trafficking activities. Dickerson is one of seven individuals charged following the probe by the FBI’s South Jersey Violent Offender and Gang Task Force, which revealed a drug distribution network on Lansdowne Avenue in Camden.
The drug distribution conspiracy charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine. Dickerson’s sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 29, 2017. His co-defendants include Joseph Boyd, Jason Boyd, Tony Wilson, Preston Thomas, Derek Stallworth, Jeffrey Whitaker, and Nafeez Griffin.
Acting U.S. Attorney Fitzpatrick acknowledged the efforts of various law enforcement agencies, including the FBI’s South Jersey Violent Offender and Gang Task Force, Camden County Police Department, Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, New Jersey State Police, Camden County Sheriff’s Department, Cherry Hill Police Department, and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Assistant U.S. Attorney Gabriel J. Vidoni is representing the government.
