A Mission woman has been sentenced for assaulting a federal officer.
Carlianna Erickson, a/k/a Carlianna Erickson-Redday, age 25, was sentenced to nine months in federal prison, followed by one year of supervised release, and a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $25.
Erickson was convicted of Assaulting, Resisting, and Impeding a Federal Officer.
The crime occurred on May 4, 2021, in Todd County, South Dakota, where Erickson assaulted a corrections officer at the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Adult Correctional Facility.
Erickson was indicted by a federal grand jury on June 8, 2021, and she pled guilty on January 31, 2022.
This case was investigated by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Kirk Albertson prosecuted the case.
Erickson was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
