Drug Trafficking Ring Busted in Scarborough
A Scarborough man has been sentenced to prison for his role in a drug trafficking conspiracy that distributed oxycodone and cocaine in the Scarborough area.
Chad Conner, 35, was sentenced to 33 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release, for conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute oxycodone and cocaine.
According to evidence in the case, Conner was part of a drug trafficking organization that operated from August 2014 through April 2015. The organization obtained oxycodone pills and cocaine from out-of-state sources and distributed them to customers in the Scarborough area.
Conner was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute oxycodone and cocaine on October 8, 2015. He pleaded guilty to the charge on October 28, 2015.
The case was the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Scarborough Police Department and the DEA.
Conner’s sentence is a result of his role in the conspiracy, and it serves as a warning to others who would engage in similar activities. The Scarborough community can rest assured that those who break the law will be held accountable.
