Columbus Resident Faces 20 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Distribution

A 42-year-old Thomaston man will serve time behind bars for distributing methamphetamine. Charles Daniel Yandle, of Thomaston, Georgia, pleaded guilty to distributing the illicit substance.

On May 30, 2017, Yandle sold approximately 80 grams of 99% pure methamphetamine to an undercover officer in exchange for $1800. After his arrest, Yandle admitted to selling drugs.

The case was investigated by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office and the Upson County Narcotics Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Crawford Seals is prosecuting the case for the United States.

Yandle’s guilty plea subjects him to a maximum sentence of 20 years’ imprisonment, a fine of up to $1 million, or both. He is scheduled to be sentenced in Columbus on November 27, 2018, following a pre-sentence investigation and report.
