A Norfolk, Virginia man has been sentenced to federal prison for his role in a significant Fentanyl trafficking operation in the city.

According to a press release from the U.S. Federal Court, Ivan Duane Williams, 38, was convicted of Fentanyl Trafficking and Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl. The case, United States v. Williams, was heard in the District Court, E.D. Virginia, Docket 1:17-cr-00196.

The investigation, led by the Norfolk Police Department and the DEA, revealed a large-scale Fentanyl trafficking operation in the Norfolk area. Williams was found to be one of the key players in the operation, which distributed Fentanyl throughout the city.
