Julion Adamski Parker, Felon in Possession of Firearm, New Hampshire 2017

Julion Adamski Parker, 27, of Chester, New Hampshire, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and making false statements during the purchase of two rifles, marking a sharp escalation in his criminal conduct, federal prosecutors announced today.

On July 11, 2017, Chester Police responded to a call reporting Parker inside the Chester General Store with a handgun clearly visible. Officers, aware of his prior felony conviction for impersonating a U.S. officer, immediately arrested him for unlawful possession of a deadly weapon—a violation of federal law.

But that wasn’t the first time Parker had illegally obtained weapons. On March 30, 2017, he bought a Mosin-Nagant Model M91/30 rifle from Riley’s Sport Shop in Hooksett, lying on federal Form 4473 by claiming he had never been convicted of a felony. Less than three months later, on June 20, 2017, he repeated the crime at Granite State Guns and Survival Gear LLC in Londonderry, purchasing an Arsenal Model SAM7R rifle under the same false pretense.

Parker’s pattern of deception and access to high-powered firearms triggered a joint investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Chester Police Department. The U.S. Marshals Service assisted in his apprehension, underscoring the multi-agency response to illegal gun trafficking and possession.

“It is unlawful for convicted felons to possess guns,” said U.S. Attorney Scott W. Murray. “In order to reduce violent crime and maintain public safety, we will continue to be aggressive in our efforts to identify and prosecute criminals who unlawfully possess firearms.”

ATF Special Agent in Charge Kelly D. Brady added, “ATF is determined to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Far too many violent crimes result from people who are prohibited from having them. ATF will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to pursue and arrest those who commit these criminal acts.” Parker is scheduled for sentencing on August 14, 2019. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Debra Walsh and falls under ATF’s Project Safe Neighborhoods, a federal initiative targeting gun violence through coordinated enforcement.
